High Five Friday 041 | Reviewing your goals are power ups

Reviewing your goals are power ups

There are 107 days left this year, and that got me thinking about my 2018 goals. Over the weekend I reflected about the experiences I’ve had by trying to achieve these outrageous yet achievable goals like, Work with K-Swiss, do a project with Gary-Vee, and run a half marathon. What really made me smile and re ignited my motivation was thinking about the work it took. The late nights, early mornings, learning on the spot etc.

Lately I have been so focused on just working hard that I kind of have forgotten about the big picture. The lesson (Reminder) I learned from reviewing my goals, is that I need to focus on the small task first but always be thinking of the big picture. For example, I want to run a marathon this year, in order to do that I have to train by first doing a 3k, 5k, 10k, and a half marathon. Completing each run the best I can with the mentality that it’s what is going to help me run and finish the full.

I recommend that you check and review your goals. See what you’ve been able to do, and see what you have left. It’s kind of exciting because a lot changes in 10 months. Leave me a comment and let me know what’s up with your goals.

With that, here is week 41 of my #HighFiveFriday blog / podcast on youtube. .

  1. Quote: Do you want it or not? A personal thought that came into my head as I was writing down goals. This is a long topic, but in a nutshell, it all comes down to purpose. Knowing what you really want to accomplish or do, and knowing there is a price to be paid. If you want it, then get it.

  2. Podcast: Joe Rogan Experience #1169 - Elon Musk - I’m mind blown with Elon. Dude is so interesting. I don’t think he smoked btw. I think it’s important to improve peoples experience like he does, and that is being you, being positive, and trying to do good. just my thought.

  3. Music I'm Listening to: Til it’s over: Anderson Paak: This track just puts me in such a good happy mood and it makes me want to dance. plus if you’ve seen the video, it makes you love the track and ander

  4. Who Impacted me: My immediate co-workers. Watching them own their work and get shit done has really made an impact on me. They challenge me everyday. I haven’t felt this excitement and momentum ever. I’m learning to appreciate my co-workers more because of how much they teach me. Which in turn makes me want to work harder and create the best work I can.

  5. What I'm working on:

Keeping track of 2 things: My morning routine: which is , Morning meditation, Journal a morning thought, and work out. Night time is similar, Night breathing meditation, Night thought, and stretching. The second thing I’m tracking is my 6 most important things for work that I think will help me level up in my work. I’m tracking by using an app called Streek. so it sends me reminders, it rates your progress. It’s a good way to know where I need to grow. or Do what I said I was going to do.

Here is last weeks episode.
