I have been Lazy.
If you have wondered what happened to #HighFiveFriday. It’s a mix of a few things, but the main thing was, I went lazy on these post. I missed 5 weeks. What the hell happened?
I started coasting and began prioritized going out on Thursday nights instead of writing these posts. That simple choice has actually put me off track on multiple things. It has made me sleep in more because I try to catch up on sleep. It has taken me from early morning routines. It has made me not do my night routines and even made me miss the gym. I finally reached the point where I was feeling emotionally down and knew it was time to re adjust and be real with myself.
The positive take away is self awareness. If you don’t take the time to evaluate yourself, you’ll eventually reach a point where you’re not happy and then you will ask yourself, “WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED”. I was just there. It sucks.
So, how do I snap out of it? In other words, How to overcome laziness?
By being brutally honest with yourself. Look at your goals, look at your lifestyle, if they don’t match up, fix it. So cliche right? I know that is what it takes, and it’s what motivates me daily.
When I am crushing it, I am extra positive, happy, and motivated. It’s a high that comes from just doing what you say you’re going to do. When I am not doing that, overtime, I don’t have that high and my emotions are down. It’s when I am not being my best self. Or at least not working on improving myself.
I really believe that seeing the results you want in life starts with simple disciples. Positive morning routines, focused post work work, exercise, and night routines.
I missed you all, stoked to be back.
Much love.
See you next week.

1: Quote: “ Do you want to build or bullshit”
2: Podcast: Joe Rogan. All of them.
3: Track: Bun B: Myself (Ft. Run The Jewels)
4: I am pondering. What are my values? What is my North Star?
5: What I am doing to improve myself overall. Working out at 70% and running one mile. Personal health and looking good (to yourself) brings self confidence and that effects everything in a positive way.
